Info ref I1889 Cornelis Lagewaard b 1876 Rotterdam, died South Africa 3 /04/1948.
Cornelis left Holland for England, where he married Ada Louise Lucas. His name was changed to Charles LEGWARD before he moved to South Africa around 1900-05 to open an engineering company called Electric Welding in Johannesburg. He had one son, Harold John Legward, who married Daphne Florence Cave. They had a daughter, Daphne Anne and son Michael John, who is my father. I am Mark Legward born 1l004/61 and have two siblings, Cherry Anne & Geoffrey (who's only son Zach Legward was born in 2007).
